This event aims to showcase the power of poetry—promoting social consciousness and self-awareness/personal empowerment (especially for women and youth). Also, dance, music, visual arts, and a dramatic performance-read will be featured/performed by local, diverse, and talented artists. This event will broaden the platforms of our local DMV artists, encourage safe, creative self-expression, promote the mental health benefits of Literary Therapy℠ and help us support our programs for the incarcerated and support the work of Families in Recovery, Inc. (those in Charles County Drug Court programs)!!
