Get Wild at the National Zoological Park

The Smithsonian's National Zoo is located in the heart of Northwest Washington, DC and spans 163 acres. This world-class zoo is famous for one very special attraction - Giant Pandas! Yet, the zoo is also home to nearly 1,800 other animals from 300 different species. Bring the family and spend the day admiring and learning about great apes, big cats, Asian elephants, birds, amphibians, reptiles and small mammals. Visitors from around the world make it a point to include the Washington, DC zoo on their "must see" list of attractions.

Hours -

The zoo is open every day of the year except December 25. Zoo grounds are open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, except in winter when the zoo closes at 5:00 p.m.
