Helping Hearts Through the Arts Autumn Remembrance Day Arts Festival
How do you age gracefully while helping others? You dance! Helping Hearts Through the Arts (HHA), a group of professionally trained dancers ranging in age from 59 to 75 years old, brings the joy, beauty, and love of dance to the community. HHA presents its Annual Autumn Remembrance Day (ARD) Arts Festival & HHA Fundraiser at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, October 3, 2021 @ 12:30pm at the steps of the reflecting pool. Bringing your own lawn chair and picnic is welcomed. \
\
Celebrate the beauty of fall and remember loved ones with HHA and other visual and performing artists at the Eighth ARD Arts Festival. Hear the lively rhythms of the East of the River Steelband, enjoy a solo performance by an international award-winning dancer, listen to an exquisite classical guitar soloist and poet, and see an uplifting and beautiful 20-minute Helping Hearts Dance piece that will warm your heart.\
\
Since 2013, HHA has provided over 40 professional-grade music and dance performances to numerous art centers, senior centers, and retirement communities throughout the DMV area. According to HHA Founder Sue Skaddan, “You don’t want to miss this extraordinary group of senior dancers. HHA wants to show that one is not limited by age -- you can still pursue your passion and share your talents and gifts, no matter how old you are.\"\
