10th Annual Canstruction®

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!\ Who: You and your team, group, or company!\ \ What: Canstruction® 2021. This year, we give participants the option to create in their preferred location or the Spotsylvania Towne Centre. You will collect cans, design and build a structure in a 10X10 space. This could be in your garage, basement, office, or the Spotsylvania Towne Centre.   \ \ When: Spring 2022, Kick-off meeting is October 4, 2021\ \ Where: 10X10 space in the Spotsylvania Towne Centre OR builder’s choice!\ \ Why: Every year, Canstruction® helps us replenish our inventory of nutritious pantry items for our community. Last year this event contributed over 15,000 meals!\ \ How: Teams host fundraisers to purchase cans, create drives, and ask neighboring grocery stores for donations. Be creative!\ \ Canstruction® is a global food drive that hosts competitions where impressive structures are created entirely from canned food. At the end of our local competition, all CANS are donated to the food bank. Our goal is to inspire our communities’ creativity and compassion through this unique food drive. Judges vote for their favorites in categories such as ‘Best Meal Component’ and ‘Best original Design.’ Winners receive awards, are submitted to the International Competition, and have the knowledge they helped in the fight against hunger.
